The candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1994 are eligible for JEE MAIN 2018. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years. So that for SC, ST and PwD candidates who are born on or after October 01, 1989 are eligible for JEE MAIN 2018.
The candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in the year
2017 or 2018 and eligible and those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2018 are also eligible to appear in JEE MAIN 2018 Examination.
Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/qualifying examination in order to be eligible
for JEE MAIN 2018. The candidates should have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the mandatory subjects in their class 12th syllabus.
The candidate will be having three attempts to clear the JEE MAIN 2018 Examination. If the candidate failed to pass in all the 3 previous attempts then s(he) will not be given permission to attend the JEE MAIN 2018 Examination.
